Although I had dabbled in art over the years, I didn't fully lean into my creative side until I was earning a Master's of Science in Business: Marketing Insights & Analytics. While in this program, life did what it does and threw some curve balls my way. I fully embraced drawing as a form of therapy and couldn't get enough of it! After experimenting with linocut, I quickly realized I had found my dream medium.
I wholeheartedly believe that every person deserves to have art in their home that reflects and celebrates who they are, and I found it challenging to do that for myself as a queer, disabled, and neurodivergent person. And I wanted to do something about it, so, I created a business plan and started Alexi Jolie Creative LLC. I adopted my oldest cat, Jolie, during a massive health crisis at the ripe age of 22 years old. She was my original muse and has been right by my side for all of my highs and lows as an adult, so it only felt right to include her name in the business.
We have big plans for the future and can't wait to show you all that we have in store!
